A Legacy of Hospitality

Founded in 2011,The Leisure Lodge is positioned to ensure customer satisfaction through quality service delivery, homely interaction with clients, prompt handlings of guest requests, concerns and above all, value for money. The Leisure Lodge was open in April 2011 with 8 rooms, including 5 executives and 3 Standard. Within months of operation it expanded to 17 rooms with a well-equipped conference room and Gym including all compliments of hotel services. The Leisure Lodge currently has branches in Kono and Kenema with fully furnished unsuits rooms and full complement of hotel services such as state of Arts Bars and Restaurants, DSTV, intercom, free Wi-Fi and free tea/coffee making facilities in all the rooms. The Leisure Lodge concept was developed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Tamba Allieu-Kokobaye, who is a well-known Hotelier with more than three decades in the Hospitality industry giving him an experience edge in the Development, Administration and Management of Hostility properties. Mr. Allieu-Kokobaye is a member of the Institute of Hospitality (MIH), United Kingdom and holds a Master’s Degree in International Hotel Management from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom, a graduate Diploma in Hotel Management from the Kenya Utalli College, Nairobi, Kenya and an advanced Diploma in Hotel Management from the Gesselschaft Fur Training in management, Munich, Germany. The Management of the Leisure Lodge include the Manager, Ms. Christiana Kadie Forbie, a graduate of the Hotel and Tourism Training Institute, now the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET) with an HND in Hotel Management. She has over 10 years’ experience working in different Hotels including the Barmoi Hotel as Front Office Supervisor. She also has a direct responsibility for the management of the House department at the hotel. Other management staff positions are that of Account and Finance Officer, the Restaurant supervisor, the Chef, the Housekeeper and the Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) officer. All the above mentioned positions are held by well experienced professionally trained staff that are ever ready to ensure best services and warm hospitality for guests. The international and local cuisine at the Leisure lodge has over the years proved to be one of the best through the successful handling and delivering of high profile catering services. Our major clients over the years have been Government Ministries, The State House, Oxfam, UNICEF, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Partners in Health, SOS, MSF, World Health Organization (WHO), United Methodist Church Conference, Activa Insurance Company, VSO and several other MDAs and NGOs.
